Keelung
Keelung is a major port city situated in the northeastern part of Taiwan. If you love to get in touch with the nature, you should check out the Gold Falls, Keelung Harbor, Lover’s Lake Park, and Chaoning Park . Food lovers should not miss out Keelung's Miaokou Night Market which is famous throughout Taiwan for its large selection of food. The National Musuem of Marine Science & Technology is also worth visiting with interesting exhibits and interactive displays. This place is highly recommended for people traveling with kids.
Ishigaki
Ishigaki Island is the main island of the Yaeyama Islands and Ishigaki city is Japan's southernmost city with lots of hotels, shops, restaurants and bars.
Ishigaki offers several nice beaches and good snorkelling and diving in the surrounding coral reefs. Ishigaki's rivers also offer a jungle like scenery and are nice to explore by kayak. Ishigaki also has the highest mountain in Okinawa Prefecture, as well as various hiking trails throughout the island's hilly interior. |
